FIBRE GUIDE / FILAMENT

How to wash silk clothing without guessing.

Silk garments may include delicate dyes, surface finishes, lining and trims. Two pure-silk pieces can have very different safe-care labels.

FABRIC FIELD NOTE / SILKsilkDO NOT GUESS FROM THE FIBRE NAME

01 / BEFORE YOU START

Read the sewn-in care label first.

Read both the wash permission and professional circle. If hand washing is explicitly allowed, use the specified temperature and gentle handling; if the tub is crossed, do not improvise with a cold rinse.

02 / DRYING & SHAPE

The step that can change a garment.

Avoid wringing silk. If the square includes a shade mark, use a shaded drying area; natural-dry directions may differ for dresses, scarves and structured garments.

03 / COMMON MISTAKE

What not to assume.

Do not infer bleach or ironing permission from fibre content. The triangle and iron marks are independent decisions, and many silk dyes or treatments can be affected by water or steam.

04 / MATCH YOUR MARKS

Care symbols worth checking.

Only the garment's own symbols and manufacturer instructions can establish permitted temperatures, cycles or drying methods. This material article is not a personalized safety guarantee.
