01 / FIELD NOTE
1. Read the sequence, not just one mark
International labels normally follow washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional care. The precise sequence helps prevent mixing a crossed dryer with a crossed wash tub.
02 / FIELD NOTE
2. Read the modifiers
Numbers in a tub are maximum wash temperatures. One line under a symbol requests a milder process; two lines call for a very mild process. Dryer dots and iron dots have their own meanings.

3. Check the finished article
The label accounts for the entire garment, including finishes, attached decoration and lining. Fibre composition alone cannot determine whether tumbling or bleaching is allowed.

4. If a mark is missing or unreadable
Leave it unknown and consult the other written instructions or manufacturer. Our decoder does not infer permission from an empty slot.
