FIBRE GUIDE / WOVEN FABRIC

How to wash jeans and denim pieces.

Jeans are often cotton-rich, but dyes, stretch fibres, abrasions and special finishes change how a finished pair should be cleaned.

FABRIC FIELD NOTE / DENIMdenimDO NOT GUESS FROM THE FIBRE NAME

01 / BEFORE YOU START

Read the sewn-in care label first.

Read the jeans’ wash mark and any written inside-out or colour-transfer warning. New dark denim may release dye; sort with appropriate dark colours rather than a light or white load.

02 / DRYING & SHAPE

The step that can change a garment.

Follow the dryer mark, especially for stretch denim. Some jeans may permit low tumble drying; others specify line drying. A garment’s elastic recovery can be affected by overheating.

03 / COMMON MISTAKE

What not to assume.

Do not confuse visible fading from wear with proof that a bleach treatment is allowed. Only the triangle mark tells you whether bleaching is permitted.

04 / MATCH YOUR MARKS

Care symbols worth checking.

Only the garment's own symbols and manufacturer instructions can establish permitted temperatures, cycles or drying methods. This material article is not a personalized safety guarantee.
